Current continuous development of artificial intelligence push the fusion of information and knowledge services into all research domains in natural science, technology, and social science. Because of the rush of COVID-19 in the world, online education grows quickly and becomes the educational trend today. Meantime, huge data are generalized every day from the educational processing. Therefore, novel technologies of artificial intelligence and information technology are required to mine the important and necessary information from the huge educational data. Such a progress depends on interdisciplinary researches involving information technology, computer vision, and education technology.
The online educational data includes complex information, such as lessons, books, coursework items, exams, as well as videos of class. All the information is valued to deeply learn and study because it contains the teachers and students’ sentiment and preferences. It is a challenging task to construct effective service systems to process the complex educational information, for example, to provide an understanding system for educational data, to use NLP methods extracting useful information from educational text and images, as well as to predict the score of students from their personal presentations. All these interesting extensions requires big data analysis, deep learning and machine learning, edge/cloud computing, wireless communication, and mobile computing.
In this way, effective solutions and applications are needed in modern online education. This conference aims to provide an opportunity for researchers to publish their latest relevant IT solutions and applications for this area.
Keywords: Artificial Intelligence; online education; educational technology; educational system; educational solution; big data analysis; evaluation; information processing; understanding
